I recently got the book Origami 3, which is about the third international origami conference of math and science. In it Miyuki Kawamura had an article about Origami with Trigonometric Functions. In this article he explained how to fold angles using trig functions. After reading the article I thought that it would be interesting to calculate trig problems using paper. After some thought I realised that it would be impossible to do it by just folding, because there is no way (as far as I know) to fold any angle on paper without using trig. So I decided to try calculating a trig problem using paper and a protractor (to get the angle). and this is what I came up with for cosine
